Summary in Plain English

Blues Dance ATL (BDATL) aims to grow the metro Atlanta blues dance community by promoting vernacular blues dance education and social blues dancing to live blues bands and DJ'd blues music.

In the course of doing that, we will utilize usage data and analytics to better refine our website(s), social media presence, messaging, marketing and outreach to create a better and more effective experience for users. As a part of providing certain services, such as registration for events, especially those that offer housing, we will collect and store personal information provided by the user. It will be shared with those who need it in order to provide the requested and associated services (For example, if we cannot connect hosts with their guests by sending their respective contact information to each other, nobody gets housing).

On occasion we will run ads across the web and mobile to let people know about things like upcoming events, classes, workshops and the like. Those may be based on whether you interacted with us and should only appear in a spot where you would already see an ad if we were not running one. Wouldn't you rather see an ad for an awesome blues dance event instead of something gnarly that does not apply to you? Yeah, us too.

We will not sell your personal information.

We may be required to disclose personal data and identifying information to the legal authorities if they present a valid legal instrument.

If Blues Dance ATL, itself, gets transitioned to new proprietors or merges with another entity, existing information will go with it; however, we have no intention that BDATL ever transition to anyone other than to dancers or organizers dedicated to nurturing blues dance.
